For several years, we have been developing various initiatives to control our energy and environmental footprint, design more environmentally friendly luggage and promote socially responsible practices.
In 2023, to go further and consolidate our initiatives, we assessed the carbon footprint of DELSEY PARIS. Based on the conclusions of this assessment and integrating the expectations of our main stakeholders, we have restructured our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We have defined our objectives and future directions around 3 main pillars:

Meeting the challenges of climate change
We are aware of the emissions linked to our industry, particularly in the production and transport of our products, which is why we are mobilizing to meet the challenges linked to our environmental impact. We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions (both direct and indirect [1]) using an intensity approach (emissions per suitcase produced).

The Products
Eco-design & reparability
We are committed to developing durable, secure and quality products while controlling our impact and our ecological footprint. In product development, we focus our efforts on two main aspects: eco-design and the lifespan of our products. Working on the notion of eco-design is key and allows our teams to integrate issues related to the life cycle of products and their impact on the environment from the design phase. This is why we favor repairable components and concentrate our efforts on the use of replaceable components: wheels, handles, trolleys, etc. This approach allows us to offer products with global warranties, up to 10 years for some. Our repair centers and our warranty service provide the best support to our customers to encourage luggage repair.
The Products
Recycled & recyclable materials
We are also working to find alternatives to the use of virgin plastic and favor recycled and recyclable materials, in particular by developing recycled collections[2], while ensuring quality, resistance, durability, and safety of our products. The share of recycled materials in our products is one of our major indicators monitored and controlled, for which the target is to reach 100% by 2028 [3]. [2] The recycled ranges are collections of luggage whose shells are produced from 100% recycled and recyclable polypropylene and the linings are produced from 100% RPET. [3] In 2024, the share of recycled materials in our products (shells and linings) is 52%.
Supply Chain
Set an example in our relationships with our suppliers
DELSEY PARIS has developed an exemplary policy in terms of selection and monitoring of suppliers. As part of our CSR commitment, we strive to limit any social risk and guarantee human rights for anyone who works for one of our suppliers, thanks to the external audit platform AMFORI.
DELSEY PARIS partners are selected based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, which are in line with globally accepted standards for social compliance[3]. DELSEY PARIS partners registered on this platform are physically audited by a third party, at least annually. We will ensure that all our suppliers are audited in 2024 and will ensure that the results of these audits meet DELSEY PARIS standards. We are also committed to taking the necessary measures towards any supplier who does not comply with the required environmental and social (ESG) standards.
[3] DELSEY PARIS's objectives: only have suppliers with an overall grade of C and grades A or B on 11 of the 13 “Performance Areas” (PA).
Supply Chain
Increase use of maritime and rail transport
Concerning the “Transport” aspect of our supply chains, we have already implemented various actions, including optimization of the load of containers and means of transport, and plan to strengthen the quality of the data at our disposal to develop precise action plans and thus optimize the delivery of our products. Our goal is to collaborate with transport companies committed to improving their environmental performance and limiting our use of road and air transport.
